How It Works
Payment Process
- You provide us with your timesheets and expenses through MyCarrington or via email/fax
- We invoice your agency
- We receive cleared funds from your agency
- We process your pay and you receive your money the SAME DAY, via CHAPS
- We sms you the amount we have paid you and email you a pay slip
How you are paid
You can choose to be paid weekly or monthly. All payments are made by same-day CHAPS.
Holiday Fund
It is a Legal requirement for all employees to have a Holiday Fund and thus it is a requirement for UK employers to pay a basic level of holiday pay, this includes those contractors working through an Umbrella Company.
It enables our contractors to take at least 4 weeks paid holiday each year, or financially survive any extended work absence due to illness. Once our client chooses to terminate their Umbrella Contract with us (to return to fulltime employment etc), we close their account, and pay the value of the fund to the contractor in their final salary payment.
This also helps our clients prepare for that nightmare scenario of an agency/client not paying on time, by keeping a reserve of their salary aside.
Additional Bank Fees
If you bank with one of the following major building societies we will not charge you bank transfer fees for same day payments, however if your bank is not on this list its probable you we will have to charge you an extra £7 processing fee per payment as the banks impose this charge on Carrington.
The banks that will not incur additional charges are:
- HSBC Bank Plc
- Alliance and Leicester Plc
- Barclays Bank Plc
- Most Citibank NA (Not All)
- Danske Bank Plc (Northern Bank)
- HBOS
- Lloyds TSB Bank Plc
- National Australia Group Europe Ltd (Yorkshire Bank and Clydesdale Bank)
- Most Nationwide Building Society's
- Northern Rock
- Royal Bank of Scotland Group
